Frances loves to explore the most powerful practices yoga has to offer and share them. Whether you are new to yoga, or an advanced student or teacher, you will learn the tools to move through your life with more ease and steadiness. Frances teaches more than how to strengthen and stretch the body, she teaches practical methods to connect deeply to a place you know is inside you, a place of stillness, of home. At age seven Frances discovered yoga and the joy of moving and breathing mindfully. With very little spiritual direction offered in her world, but being very intuitive and empathic, she feels lucky to have found this powerful practice to ground her and develop awareness of self and spirit. In this modern day age of business, financial gain and materialism, Frances devoted herself to understanding the root of suffering and the means to bring peace and happiness to life. She has been helping people to navigate through whatever life dishes up professionally since 1997.
Because she considers her work her vocation, Frances has earned two yoga teaching certificates as well as special qualifications for teaching those with arthritis, seniors and children. (You can see the full list of credentials here) She has studied with the ‘stars’ of yoga, exploring many different styles, before coming home to her current teacher, Rosemary Antze, who lives a quiet life in prosperity and joy, sharing her knowledge with a group of dedicated students.
In a welcoming environment, Frances brings her creativity and humour to helping each student. Everyone has unique gifts and limitations: learning and practicing yoga can and should be done with ease, whether you’re flexible or not. The fundamentals of developing a strong joy core are spinal alignment and working with the breath, so, no matter what shape you are in, Frances will find a way to gently get your body moving and your breath flowing. Finding tension, releasing it, and breathing mindfully are at the heart of this practice, and available to anyone who wants to learn it.

When Frances isn’t having fun helping her students open their bodies and minds, she’s taking care of hearth and home as a mother and wife, cooking and gardening and making art, enjoying long walks with the dogs, good books and movies. She also passionately explores holistic health, and brings a wealth of knowledge to help you navigate the many alternatives availiable for health and wellness.
